Carmel encourages residents to recycle campaign signs
CARMEL, Ind., Nov. 12, 2024 – The City of Carmel Utilities and Carmel Street Department are partnering with the Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste Center and Recycle Force to recycle 2024 election campaign signs. This initiative prevents an abundance of yard signs from going to a local landfill, as they cannot be recycled in regular curbside pickup. Residents opting not to return campaign signs to individual candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to recycle.
From Tuesday, Nov. 12 to Wednesday, Nov. 27, Carmel residents can bring their campaign signs and metal stands to the following locations:
Carmel Household Hazardous Waste Site, 901 N. Range Line Rd., Carmel, 46032
- Closed Mondays
- Open Tuesday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. – noon
Carmel Street Department, 3400 W. 131st St., Carmel, 46074
