TriCo Regional Sewer District offers free “used cooking oil recycling” after Thanksgiving

Nov 18, 2025

Here’s an opportunity to recycle your used cooking oil! Thank you to TriCo Regional Sewer Utility for serving the West Carmel sewer customers AND our community!

Please see message from TriCo Regional Sewer District:

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, many of us are getting ready for big meals, sizzling pans, and even deep-fried turkeys. But what to do with all of that leftover oil? Oils can cause major problems when poured down the drain. Fats, oils, and grease (FOG) build up inside sewer pipes, leading to clogs, backups, and costly damage to our community’s wastewater system.

That’s why we created this event: to educate, protect our environment, and give residents a free, convenient, and eco-friendly way to dispose of used cooking oil.

Bring your leftover oil to us after the holiday— and at no charge, we’ll make sure it’s recycled responsibly.

Together, we can keep our pipes clear and our waterways clean!
