Carmel Utilities is proud to offer the Carmel Citizens Utility Academy – a unique opportunity for residents to gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of the essential utility services that support our community.

This engaging seven-week program offers an in-depth look at the operations and responsibilities of Carmel’s Water, Wastewater, Trash & Recycling, and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal services. Sessions are led by knowledgeable staff from Carmel Utilities and Republic Services, each sharing their expertise in their respective fields. Facility tours are an integral part of the experience, providing participants with a firsthand view of how these services are managed.

Participant Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be a resident of the City of Carmel
• Must commit to attending seven weekly sessions from late September through mid-November.  Each session will last approximately three hours and are held on Wednesday mornings.
• Must sign any required waivers or participation agreements

Class size is limited to 12 participants.
