Carmel Utilities has implemented a new billing system which will future proof the billing process and take advantage of changes in technology that have occurred since 2002, the last billing system upgrade.
The most obvious change to customers will be the account number change. All customers have received new account numbers. There are also minor updates to the bill which provide for service dates for trash and the date range for the storm water fee.
There are delays invoicing and bills are running behind the normal billing dates. This was an anticipated circumstance and is common in these types of conversions. Please be assured that the utility is not assessing penalties during this transition period.
