Carmel is fortunate because it has some of the purest ground water in the state.  Pumped from twenty high production wells, treated at five facilities which are responsible for meeting all EPA and IDEM requirements, then distributed through five hundred seventy nine miles of water main, Carmel is well situated to meet the current and future needs of our growing community.
